Shuttering systems or magnetic formwork are used for the production of precast concrete structures. The adapters with the shuttering magnets are placed on the points of the magnetic formwork fixation. When concrete is set, the formwork is demoulded by removing the equipment. Asymmetric Poka-Yoke Design of forwork magnet
In the actual production of the formwork magnet, to prevent the two end steel plates of the formwork magnet housing from being installed in the wrong orientation, we apply an asymmetric mounting-distance design (e.g., 280 mm on the left and 250 mm on the right). In addition, each steel plate is equipped with its own unique set of protrusions and recesses, further eliminating the possibility of incorrect assembly.
This poka-yoke structure ensures that the plates can only be installed in one correct direction, effectively preventing reverse installation and significantly improving production consistency and stability.
Without such a mistake-proof design, many new workers might naturally assume that both steel plates are identical and interchangeable, leading to a high risk of installing them backwards. In our factory, this inherent but incorrect assumption is eliminated by our poka-yoke system.
Formwork Magnet Geometrical Tolerance Inspection:
After welding and shaping, place the edge mold naturally on the inspection platform. Use a dedicated feeler gauge to check the two geometric tolerances AB, use calipers to check the four geometric tolerances CDEF, and use a tape measure to check G. Specific tolerance values are detailed above.
