Concrete is a common building material in the construction industry. So how long after the concrete is poured can the formwork be removed? Generally speaking, it takes 2 to 3 days to remove the formwork after pouring. The formwork has a bottom film and a side film. The formwork in different places has a different time to remove the formwork. It will also be affected by weather factors, and there is no standard for the time to remove the formwork. If the side membrane is used, the formwork can be removed the next day after the concrete is poured on the same day, but the temperature in winter is relatively low, the concrete has not yet formed, and the waiting time will take about 3 days.

2. What to Pay Attention to

a. It must meet the design requirements. If there is no design, it must be carried out according to other regulations.

b. If there is no load-bearing formwork, it is very important to ensure that the edges and corners of the concrete surface are not damaged before they can be removed.

c. If it is a load-bearing formwork, it must be removed after each construction condition meets the relevant regulations. For example, its strength must reach between 50% and 100% to be considered qualified.

d. When we are in the process of removing the formwork, if we find that the strength of the concrete has not yet reached the specified requirements, we must immediately stop the removal of the formwork, and we must deal with it properly, and we must meet the qualified requirements before continuing. Otherwise, it will bring security risks.

e. In the process of removing the formwork, do not knock it hard, which will cause the concrete on the surface layer of the building to fall directly and damage the surface layer of the building. We should use a crane to lift it.
