The recess formers are used for easy attachment to the formwork. Recess Formers are used to seal and fill an anchor recess in precast concrete. The recess formed in the open position will be put over the anchor head. Closing the rubber recess former will fix the anchor tightly. Afterward, the rubber recess former can be fixed to the formwork together with the anchor. The Recess Former can be used during transport and storage or for a permanent seal after final installation. This protects the anchor against corrosion and also prevents water from collecting and consequently freezing in cold weather.
Recess Formers are also used in post-tensioning applications. They provide a clean and uniform surface on which to tie the post-tension cables, eliminating time-consuming cutting and forming of the recess.
