The inserts can be used to lift removable concrete slabs or vault covers. Since Threaded Inserts can be accurately laid out, they are especially useful for mounting equipment or fixtures that must be precisely located.
Precast concrete inserts are suitable for attachment applications but are not recommended for lifting or handling applications. Proper installation requires the insert to be cast perpendicular to the element surface and the thread openings to be flush with the element surface. Any misalignment of the blade results in a reduction in safe workload capabilities. Threaded Inserts offer a clean and unobtrusive appearance without protrusion beyond the face of the concrete. In addition, Threaded Inserts are more reliable than typical expansion anchors and they avoid the risk of damaging concrete when drilling anchor holes.
