Drop-In Anchors Introduction：

Drop-in anchors are female concrete anchors designed for anchoring into concrete. Drop the anchor into the pre-drilled hole in the concrete. Using a setting tool expands the anchor within the hole in the concrete. As the anchor is tightened, a lip on the underside of the head expands and locks in place against the concrete. Drop-in anchors are available in several different sizes ranging from 1/4" to 3/4". The most common size used for anchoring into concrete is 1/2". Precast concrete anchors are ideal for use when making light-duty fastenings into concrete, such as when attaching shelves, door frames, cable trays, and other similar items. They are also suitable for use in brickwork, stonework, and blockwork. Drop-in anchors should not be used in dynamic or seismic applications. For installing drop-ins into concrete, a hammer drill and masonry bit should be used to create a hole in the concrete. The size of the hole should match the anchor size being installed, with a tolerance of 1/8" for standard anchors and 3/16" for heavy-duty anchors. Using a setting tool or impact wrench, tighten the drop-in into the pre-drilled hole until it is flush with the surface of the concrete. Finally, attach the fixture to be anchored into place using an appropriate screw or bolt and fastener.
