GME Fixing Socket with cross bar transfers theforces into the concrete instead of additional reinforcement. Fixing Sockets with Cross Pin are designed for quick and easy connection of precast units with generous placement tolerances. These sockets should only be used where on site fixing tolerances are sufficiently flexible. The socket is manufactured from either high grade precision steel tube with a zinc plated finish, or a stainless steel grade A2 tube (Grade 304). It incorporates a cross pin which alleviates the requirement of additional reinforcement, making it ideal for use in shallow elements.

2. Feature of Fixing Socket with cross bar:

The lifting sockets are used for lifting thin precast walls. Are not suited for slabs.

3. Application of Fixing Socket with cross bar:
Precast produced fixing socket with cross pin transfer forces directly into the concrete without additional reinforcing steels. Forces are transferred via the cross pin. No additional reinforcement is necessary. The cross pin anchors itself into the concrete by means of form closure. The required concrete compressive strength is at least 25 N/mm2. We recommend fixing socket with cross pin only for fixings, for which a general technical approval is not necessary. The fixing socket with cross pin can be nailed to the formwork with the plastic nailing plate or it can be screwed through the formwork with a hexagonal screw. Lifting insert are widely used in the precast concrete construction for the lifting purpose , such as lifting beams, panels and floor slabs etc.
